Week 1!
I really want to see if I can put together some good genealogy information. Specific to “Skenandore” but generally for all Native Americans. I’m (making internal commitment) going to be spending hopefully an hour or more each week, putting out feelers, compiling resource lists, posting updates, etc. Each week I’ll put up an ‘update’ post numbered in order with the following sub-sections:
What I want to do:
- Get copies of genealogy from my brother.
- Contact an Uncle on my Dad’s side that may have info.
- Start identifying resources, websites, etc., that might have helpful information and create resource page that can be updated.
- Email immediate family members (and ask for extended family emails).
- Remember to spell genealogy right, instead of geneology. (a instead of o)
What I/We accomplished:
- Genealogy Research 1 post.
What I probably should do:
- Figure out best time of week/day to fit this project into my schedule.
And any others I think of. Please, please, please, anyone, who has any interest in working on this I could really use your help and support. As our/my Mom used to say, “many hands make light work”. And she had us eleven kids to help prove her point!
